Our teams

Our teams of scientists and engineers cover the full stack of quantum computing

Quantum

The Quantum team designs the quantum chips. With its experience in the control of quantum systems, it is also the Quantum tea's responsibility to calibrate, characterize and optimize the performance of our quantum processors.

Cryogenics

The Cryogenics team designs and builds our cryostats and gas handling systems. Such a challenging task requires complementary backgrounds in high-vacuum and low-temperature systems, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, computer-aided design, and system control.

Electronics

The Electronics team designs and programs the electronics required to operate our quantum processors, including PCBs and FPGAs. The Electronics team pushes the limits of high-speed data acquisition and high-precision pulse synchronization.

Software

The Software team develops the multi-level software stack that operates our quantum computers, including the Snowflurry™ SDK, our quantum compiler and quantum scheduler. The Software team also supports the other teams in developing design and simulation software for internal use.

Nanofabrication

The Nanofabrication team uses the latest micro and nanofabrication techniques to fabricate our quantum processors. The team is also responsible for developing highly controlled and reproducible cleanroom processes to ensure that each quantum chip produced is of the highest quality.

Manufacturing

The Manufacturing team is responsible for machining and assembling the parts that make up the quantum computer. Given the strict requirements on parts that must go inside the cryostat, the team has developed unique skills in high-precision machining and surface finish.
